Service Description
The Rifle 201 Course reinforces the fundamentals of marksmanship, and introduces the students to the proper methods of shooting rapidly and accurately under duress, how to quickly and accurately acquire a proper sight picture, and apply the basics much faster than is required in the basic rifle course. Students will demonstrate a command of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to shoot from standing, kneeling, sitting, prone, and other modified shooting positions. Students will learn a number of drills that will reinforce the proper application of the fundamentals while under time constraints in order to increase speed, and accuracy, and provide the ability to shoot while moving. Course Materials Provided by Student: Any caliber semiautomatic rifle Minimum of 600 rounds of weapon appropriate ammunition Approved hearing protection Approved eye protection Mag pouch 3-4 Rifle Mags Sling Red dot, LVPO, Irons ********DO NOT COME WITH NON-ZEROED RIFLE******* Goals: Safely shoot a rifle under time constraints and recoil. Understanding of different rifle holds/ Sling Manipulation Left and right turn and shoot Execute proper reloading techniques Shoot while moving. Barricade work exploring non-traditional positions Proficiency in shooting rifle at a distance
