Service Description
The Level 2 Pistol Course reinforces the fundamentals of marksmanship, introduces the students to the proper methods of drawing from a holster under duress, how to quickly and accurately acquire a proper sight picture, and apply the basics much faster than is required in the basic pistol course. Students will demonstrate a command of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to shoot from a standing, kneeling, sitting, prone, and other modified shooting positions. Reloading techniques will be learned and applied. Students will learn a number of drills that will reinforce proper application of the fundamentals while under time constraints in order to increase speed and accuracy. Course Materials Provided by Student: Any caliber semiautomatic pistol or revolver Minimum of 600 rounds of ammunition Approved hearing protection Approved eye protection Kydex Holster - NO BLACKHAWK Serpa. Shooting Belt Mag Pouches with 3-4 Magazines Goals: Safely draw and shoot a pistol from a holster while under time constraints. Left and right turn and shoot Execute proper reloading techniques Shoot while moving. Shoot from the 4 standard positions and non-traditional positions Proficiency in shooting pistol at a distance
