Service Description
Shooting with Confidence The Pistol 102 Course fills out and reinforces the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning, using, and defending themselves with a pistol safely. Throughout the course, students will learn about the weapons' function and operation, proper ammunition selection, the fundamentals of marksmanship, and drills that will support shooter skills sustainment. Course Materials Provided by Student: Any semiautomatic pistol or revolver Minimum of 500 rounds of weapon-appropriate ammunition 3-4 magazines Approved hearing protection Approved eye protection Holster – No leather, nylon, or BLACKHAWK Serpa. Goals: Identify the basic parts of a pistol, types of pistol actions, and understand how they function. Know the four basic safety rules. Demonstrate safe pistol handling skills. Understand how to properly identify and fix a malfunction. Explain the fundamentals of marksmanship. Safely draw and shoot a pistol from a holster. Explain how to disassemble and clean a pistol.
